NEW Double Drip Coil Sauce!! *Review*

After much anticipation, I recently received 5 of Double Drip's newest eLiquids. I would like to thank Vapouriz for sending them my way for the purpose of this review.
All of the liquids that I received were 80% VG, 3mg/ml of nicotine and come in TPD compliant, 10ml safety capped bottles.
They are available online at:
 www.vapestore.co.uk/e-liquids/double-drip/
£4.99 for 10ml
I will be testing these liquids out on:
Cotton Bacon (changing after each flavour)
Druga RDA (running on 0.2 ohms)
Asmodus Minikin (running at 75w)
Sun Drip

Sun Drip is a wonderful mix of ripe citrus and sweet apricot. It is just perfect for a hot summer's day, thanks to it's fruity and sweet elements.
Although each individual flavour is slightly difficult to ascertain, it really works well as an overall collection of tastes.
I can hardly get over how refreshing and more-ish this liquid is. It's juicy, it's a tad tart and extremely fruity.
I very much enjoyed this flavour, and can definitely see it becoming a good summertime ADV!

Crystal Mist

As a newly converted menthol fan, I could kind of guess from the name that this liquid had something to do with menthol, and sure enough, I was right!
Crystal Mist is a uniquely delectable collection of fruitiness and menthol that will appeal to all vapers. On the inhale is when you can expect a cool sensation of blue raspberry and when exhaling, a touch of sweet cherry. I value the fact that the menthol used in this liquid was not at all overpowering - something that can be appreciated by lots of people as an all day vape.
Crystal Mist is defiantly a palette cleanser and I loved how the menthol was soft and smooth, rather than harsh or icy.
Great stuff!

Lemon Sherbet

If you have ever tried Sherbet Lemon sweets, then you will no doubt recognise that distinct flavour when vaping on this ejuice!
It is absolutely identical to the yellow, lemon flavoured boiled sweets, and this liquid even replicates the almost fizzy sensation the you get with sherbet lemons!
This juice was both sweet and a little sour, I found them to have just the perfect amount of each. Granted, the lemon doesn't taste like real lemons, but is indistinguishable from the artificial lemon flavour found in the sweets.
I did enjoy this eliquid, however, when compared to the two previous ones above, I found it to be a little bit overbearing, meaning, for me, that I couldn't vape it all day. However it was very true to its name and flavour profile, something that I think Double Drip deserves recognition for their flavour accuracy!

Mango Raspberry Ice Cream

Ooooh this eLiquid is very unique and I don't think I have ever tried one like it! You get the ripe, fleshy part of a juicy mango (rather than an artificial tasting mango), mixed with soft notes of raspberry, then (the piece de resistance) a super smooth and wholesome vanilla ice cream that rounds off the different flavours perfectly.
I found when vaping this liquid that it was very creamy and I could sit there and pick out each component involved in creating this eJuice.
Despite being a rather sweet and rich eLiquid, I could see myself vaping on it for an extended period of time without growing tired of it.

Orange and Mango Chill

Another mango one, I thought to myself, how different can they be? Well, they are polar opposites. The previous one was smooth and creamy, whereas this liquid is very lively, slightly sour and has a cooling undertone that sets this juice apart from any others I have tried today.

The orange is citrusy and sharp, the mango is sweet and all encompassing, the 'chill' to it really gives the flavour as a whole, a satisfying kick.
You can really notice the menthol on inhalation, and it isn't too extreme either, I found that it is more on the mild side of the spectrum. On exhalation is when the fruity elements come out to play. They are juicy, sweet and slightly tart, whilst still retaining all of the ripeness and not letting the menthol overtake them.
This eJuice was very palatable and the menthol was just the right amount for it to be enjoyable.

Vaper Expo May 2017

I'm really looking forward this year's Vaper Expo, held at the NEC in Birmingham. I'm hoping to meet old friends, and to meet new ones. I love the fact that everyone there has a common interest, and you get to see those who have just started their vaping journey, as well as vaping veterans. One thing that I remember from last May, was waking up early on the morning of the expo, and finding a remote spot overlooking the lake to vape, and watch the sun rise. As it got lighter, I could see several plumes of clouds along the edges of the lake, I was not alone! With me, there were a few people who were either:
A) crazy morning people like myself
B) or suffering from acute jet lag

The thing with the NEC is that it's such a big complex, which can be a good thing or it can be a bad thing. It's a bit of a trek to get anywhere, and that's made even harder when you cannot find the right hall straight away. Having said that, nothing feels cramped nor claustrophobic, the halls are huge and spacious, and this is accentuated on the B2B days when it tends to be a little quieter.

In terms of the show itself , you can expect plenty of worldwide companies, offering liquids, hardware, and everything in between. Yes there are some freebies, but you can also expect fantastic offers - particularly on hardware, I picked up an Asmodus Minikin v2 for £55, an Aspire Archon for £30 and a Rig v3 set up for just £110.

Safe to say I am very much looking forward to the show and hopefully it will go smoothly. See you all there!

Salt based eLiquids Reviews

There's a new player in the vape game, and it involves a salt based nicotine. From what I've experienced, this is a new way to absorb nicotine. It gets into your system much faster , giving you the hit that is perhaps similar to a higher standard nicotine level, what I mean by that is you get the nicotine rush without the super strong throat hit of the classic nicotine containing eliquids.
I was very kindly provided the following eLiquids by the lovely Michelle. All of the liquids that I am reviewing today are available online and at 'Life's a Drag' vape shop (342 Ashley Road, Poole, BH14 9DF)
I have chosen my top 3 liquids from what I was sent to review, all contain 5mg/ml nicotine, however, they come across as very smooth throat hits (I tend to go for 3mg/ml and I appreciated the mildness offered by the salt based nicotine)

The main difference between vaping regular nicotine and salt based nicotine is the quicker absorption rate into the bloodstream. It is not quite as fast as combustable tobacco cigarettes, however it is much faster than standard nicotine containing ejuices.

Dr.Salt eLiquids - Wham Star
10ml - 5mg/ml - 50:50 VG:PG - £6.99
This eLiquid is reminiscent of the popular, chewy sweets, Wham Bars. The flavour is very strong yet pleasant, and you get a brilliant, fruity taste that makes your mouth water.
It is tangy and gives you the fizzy sensation of sour sherbet on the exhale.
Despite being a 50:50 VG:PG juice, you get fantastic cloud production, whilst still retaining a delicious and powerful candy flavour. I thoroughly enjoyed this eLiquid, and it gave me the perfect nicotine hit, without the harshness on my throat.

Mr Salt-e - Vanilla Custard
30ml - 5mg/ml - 60% VG
If you know me at all, you probably know that I adore Vanilla Custard vapes,  so I am very excited to try this one from Mr Salt E
This eliquid I received is in a 30ml glass bottle, however I believe it is going to be TPD compliant (meaning it will be available in 10ml bottles)
The flavour is mild and the throat hit is smooth. I like the fact that this eJuice is not too strong in taste, making it ideal for those of you who do not like overpoweringly potent (or sickly) vapes. The vanilla lightens the wholesomeness of the creamy custard, something I really appreciate. Being a higher VG eLiquid, the plumes of vapour on the exhale is as you would expect - impressive!
Overall, a delicious flavour that is complex and delivers the different components in exactly the right amounts!

Mr Salt-e - GrappleBerry
30ml - 5mg/ml - 60% VG
Grappleberry is the ultimate grape, apple and mixed berry flavour. It is a little bit candy like, and it is quite more-ish. You get a blast of ripened grape, rounded off perfectly with an element of apple that is both tart yet sweet at the same time. There is a note of juicy berries right on the exhale that compliments the other flavours beautifully.
This eLiquid is refreshing and will leave your tastebuds begging for more. I can't get over how revitalising this eJuice is ! Definitely my favourite from all of the liquids that I received!

VapeJam April 2017

So I was lucky enough to make it to VapeJam this year, it was held at the Excel in London, and I am ever so glad I had great company to go with.

We set off at 08:30 from BHVape, and clambered into Johnnie's Van, originally we were to go in Lorna's Mini Cooper, but 4 of us, plus bags and various other items - it just wasn't going to happen.
Johnnie rigged up two squashy arm chairs in the back of the van, it was awesome.
We stopped about halfway there and got ourselves a McDonald's breakfast (I had an egg and cheese bagel!)
Banter and copious amounts of swearing from Johnnie ensued, we even had radio thanks to a make shift  aerial made from an old clothes hanger!
Before we knew it, we got to the Excel, Alex and I were most defineatly in our element.
Despite visiting on the Sunday, it wasn't too busy to begin with, and we soon had our passes. We had to walk through a dark hallway that revealed a large , vape filled room.
Ive been to vape shows before, however Jam was a little smaller, and I felt more intimate, and I like it that way.
It was good because it made it easier to visit all the stands, yet still enough space to not feel cramped.
I really enjoyed going with my Vape buddies, and I even saw some friends I had met previously from all over the country. Grimm Green and Ruby Too were there too, but I didn't realise until I left! :-(
I got a fair amount of freebies, and an iridescent blue Minikin v2. Then we came across a Rig stand, and ohmygod, I saw an absolutely beautiful metallic blue and pink Rig V3, that was paired with a Roughneck v3. I had to get it!

Another great thing about VapeJam, was the fact that it is the last big vape event before the TPD legislations come in to effect. Meaning companies were slashing the prices on anything that would be non compliant (such as bottles of ejuice with a capacity of over 10ml or tanks with a capacity over 2ml)
That meant lots of cheap yet decent eLiquid for us to nab before it's gone!

We left at around 4pm and began our trip up to Derby - something that I currently cannot elaborate
on, all I can say is that we had two, 16 hour vape sessions!!!

Overall I had a truly fantastic time and can say that it was probably the best weekend of my entire life!!!

Vaper Star *ELIQUID REVIEW*

After a chance meeting, I was provided with a selection of some truly delicious eliquids from a company based in Dorchester, Dorset. You can check out their website at www.vaperstar.co.uk
I have chosen my 4 favourites to do some reviews for, although they were all very palatable and I'm glad I was given the opportunity to try them. All liquids were 80/20 VG/PG and 3mg nicotine.
So, let's get going!

Lemon Cheesecake
Over my time as a reviewer, I have tried quite a few lemon based dessert flavours, ranging from super sour citrus all the way to smooth almost unrecognisable hints of lemon.
This juice was easily one of the best Lemons I have tried. You get a creamy, sweet lemon, to the point that it is very more-ish and true to the cheesecake profile. On exhaling, I got a crumbly, warm sensation from a biscuit-base taste and then it all mixed up with one another to create an ecstatic overall flavour.
Definitely my favourite out of this line, due to it's similarity to the real deal!

French Kiss
French Kiss is a fantastic blend of mild sweet tones, including wholesome vanilla bean, deep and realistic caramel toffee. You may assume that French Kiss could be too sweet and overwhelming, however, the set of chosen flavours is actually not too potent, and I could vape on this flavour all day.
What I particularly liked about this juice, is that all the components were expertly blended to the point that it was a little difficult to discern each separate flavour, but I thought it was a nice touch.
Vapour production was stellar, and you get a very pleasant taste on the exhale.
Great Stuff!

Sinner
This one is hands down the best cinnamon based eLiquid i have tried in recent times. Described as being a cinnamon danish with hints of sugar cookie, you certainly get the cinnamon straight away. It is a sweet and not at all artificial. Then, as you finish inhaling, you get a mild almost savoury touch of the danish pastry. At the point of exhaling, the sugar cookie flavour jumps out and perfectly rounds up the other elements.
Again, I could vape on this all day and not get sick of it. I really liked the Sugar Cookie touch at the end.

Shags Custard
Shags Custard , in my opinion, fights for the top spot in terms of the liquids I have tried in this line. Also, like with the Lemon Cheesecake, I have tried a lot of custard juices. The fact that this one is more complex and whole tasting, makes it the clear champion of custards.
In the past, I found certain custards to have funny aftertastes, but Shags' aftertaste is wonderfully unique and very palatable.
You get the vanilla-like sensation on the inhale, and just before you exhale, when you hold the vapour in your mouth, a plethora of delicious caramel and sweetness mingles in you mouth.
As you exhale, the flavours continue to blend together to create a one of a kind ball of deliciousness that develops into a smooth and creamy aftertaste.
I thoroughly enjoyed Shags Custard, the only thing I would change (but can't - thanks TPD!!!) would be to have bigger bottles, because 10ml is just not enough of this beautiful brew!

Overall, the Vaper Star liquids were a very pleasant surprise indeed. It was difficult to pick out which one was best because of all of their great qualities. Again, I know it is not feasible thanks to new TPD regulations, but the only thing I would change would be to have bigger sized bottles because 10ml of each of these magical elixirs just isn't enough, especially if you want to make it an all day vape!
But, kudos to Vaper Star for their great quality liquids, 5*. Stay posted folks!

Director's Cut by VapeMate UK

The guys over at VapeMate have set me up with some of their absolutely smashing juices from the 'Director's Cut' premium range.
I was sent four of them for the purpose of review and you can get them over at www.vapemate.co.uk. They come in 10ml TPD compliant bottles, and are available in 0mg, 3mg and 6mg nicotine strengths. The whole Director's Cut line are max V
G and this is mirrored in the fact that billows of clouds emanate when vaping.
So, let's have a look at them...

Froot Joose
This eliquid is quite simply a super zesty, fruity and invigorating blend of flavours, including  a smooth apricot, sharp pineapple and a punchy peach. This one literally made my mouth water with its impressively juicy repertoire. I have never tried an apricot flavoured vape before but this was a pleasant surprise and could be a new favourite of mine.

Sour Blue Raspberry
Whenever I hear about a Blue Raspberry vape, I simply have to try it. It's astounding the amount of diversity within the Blue Raspberry flavours, and some were nice, some were okay, and others were down right terrible! However, VapeMate has defineatly brought something special to the table with this one. You get the sourness, without it becoming over the top or sickly but the blue raspberry is sweet and candy like, making it very appealing to sweet tooth's everywhere!
There is a definite element of sharpness upon exhale, which is quite a nice touch.

Cog Two
If Cog One was anything to go by, Cog Two is truly stellar. Contrasting the creaminess from the first installation, the new one is almost tart. You get a fantastic blast of several fruity elements, including ripe watermelon, sweet strawberries and a sharp twist of kiwi. I really enjoyed this juice and would go as far as to say it's even better than Cog One!!!

Beach Party
A revitalising blend of zingy citrus and some of the most fresh and unique tropical fruits in the vaping world. This was my favourite out of the four, based on the delectable and one of a kind flavourings. It was a pleasure to try, and I could definitely use this juice as an all day vape (but unfortunately, thanks to the TPD, we can't have big-all-day-lasting-sized bottles!!!)
VapeMate have absolutely smashed it with this one, so kudos!

It was lovely to try these eLiquids, it gave me a whole new look on fruity juices that, to be honest, had started to become a tad repetitive. They were all similar enough to enjoy each and every one, but different enough that they didn't blend in to monotony.
Big thanks to VapeMate for sending them over, and I look forward to trying out the rest of this fantastic range.  Don't forget to go check them out at vapemate.co.uk and I can't emphasise enough the fantastic selection of flavours and the craftsmanship behind them.
